KANKYO DOT at dublab University Park studios

In recent years, Japanese ambient music (Kankyō Ongaku) has gained renewed popularity around the world. This is the first exhibition of the “KANKYO DOT” sound installation developed jointly by Yoshio Ojima, an artist who has been at the forefront of the scene since the 1980s, and dublab.jp.
It was developed based on TAGUCHI omnidirectional speakers and the “AISO” system that semi-perpetually constructs new music. By continuously disassembling and reconstructing the song Lapis Lazuli from the album serenitatem (RVNG Intl.), produced in cooperation by Yoshio Ojima, Visible Cloaks, and Satsuki Shibano, it creates a sound that is complex and novel.
It provides a new listening experience that gives new life to Kankyō Ongaku.
